Calling all stewards!!!

Thinking ahead to the summer of 2024, we need 2 new stewards and have 2 openings for stewards-in-training. The stewards must be at least 17 years old by May with significant boating experience. Stewards-in-training must be at least 16 years old and demonstrate a sincere commitment to pursuing their USCG credential and joining the team in future seasons. For those who are interested in becoming a regular steward, they must begin the credentialing process in early January.

Please let me know if you have any interest in either of the steward positions or know of others who may be interested. The positions are open to members as well as nonmembers. Credentialing takes about 4 months to complete and can be done 100% online. I am also happy to walk through the process and requirements with any volunteers wishing to join the ranks of the credentialed volunteers.

Club

LCYC is a member-run yacht club located in a sheltered cove on the southwest shore of Shelburne Bay in Shelburne, Vermont, USA. We offer moorings, activities, and community for our members, most of whom own a sailboat or powerboat. The object of the Club is to promote and encourage boating and sailing on Lake Champlain, while emphasizing racing, cruising, and education, without financial gain. Cruising

Lake Champlain offers some of the best freshwater cruising in North America. The beautiful scenery and charming lakeside destinations make it a great place to explore. LCYC organizes several rendezvous events. Spontaneous cruising events also materialize throughout the season. We have a number of scheduled events planned for the summer season. Cruisers are out and about just about every weekday and weekend throughout the summer.
