The Annual Meeting of the members of the Lake Champlain Yacht Club will be held upon completion of Fall Workday chores (approximately 11:00am) on Saturday, October 15, 2011, at the Clubhouse. Please see Attached notice for more information.

The 2011 Ladies Cup Special Sailing Instructions are posted under 'Sailboat Racing' in the sidebar menu. In addition to the SIs the listing includes descriptions of all the possible courses from which the Race Committee will select the one that is most appropriate for the winds of the day.

LCYC will be hosting an interclub Junior Sailing Regatta on July 21-22nd, with sailors/boats arriving on the 20th. Junior Sailors will be coming from Malletts Bay Boat Club, the Burlington Community Sailing Center, Northern and Southern Lake George, and Lake Sunapee. Both Flying Juniors and Optis will be represented. This is an annual regatta that alternates between LCYC and MBBC hosting, and this year's regatta is being called "The Champ Chase".

Club

LCYC is a member-run yacht club located in a sheltered cove on the southwest shore of Shelburne Bay in Shelburne, Vermont, USA. We offer moorings, activities, and community for our members, most of whom own a sailboat or powerboat. The object of the Club is to promote and encourage boating and sailing on Lake Champlain, while emphasizing racing, cruising, and education, without financial gain. Cruising

Lake Champlain offers some of the best freshwater cruising in North America. The beautiful scenery and charming lakeside destinations make it a great place to explore. LCYC organizes several rendezvous events. Spontaneous cruising events also materialize throughout the season. We have a number of scheduled events planned for the summer season. Cruisers are out and about just about every weekday and weekend throughout the summer.

Full and half-day sessions are offered for all ability levels over an eight week period each summer. All of our Instructors are US Sailing certified and have extensive experience.
