In Remembrance of Skip Echelberger

With sadness, I am called on to let you know of the sudden passing of our friend Skip Echelberger last week in Florida.

His obituary notes that "Skip had a zest for life, a positive outlook and a sense of humor that everyone appreciated and enjoyed. He loved so many things in life: sailing on his boat with friends, kids and grandkids; singing in the choir at the Shelburne United Methodist Church; playing volleyball; walking the beaches of Florida with his wife Chickie; bicycling; and kayaking. He was a member of LCYC since 1991 and served on the Board of Directors from 1997 to 2000 and was widely recognized by the pink hat he wore whenever sailing his sailboat Coquet ".

For those of Skip's lifelong friends or family who would like to remember him, his family asks that a donation to the Shelburne United Methodist Church be made in his memory to PO Box 365, Shelburne, VT 05482 or to the charity of your choice. A memorial service is scheduled at the Shelburne United Methodist Church on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 1pm.
