Streetwise, a Viper 640 owned by Jason Hyerstay and skippered by Fran Hardy, was incorrectly scored in the Sportboat class rather than Spinnaker B. The NoR requires a minimum of 2 boats for a class in the Ladies Cup, which was not met for this year's race.
As a result, Streetwise was rescored in Spinnaker B which they won, beating In Progress, skippered by Benedek Erdos of MBBC.
Apologies for this error and congrats to Jason, Fran and crew!!!
Last night we set a participation record for our 6 year old Thursday night Dinghy racing series with 17 boats (10 RS Aeros, 6 Lasers and 1 Melges 15) and 18 sailors (age 11 (Oliver) to 70+)!!!.
We had a post race potluck BBQ and the South Burlington Rec Dept even did a fireworks display to celebrate the occasion!!!
Congrats to Sam Royal and Allen Timmins from MBBC who won the FJ fleet and Kai Condit from NLGYC who won the Opti Fleet.
Oliver Morgan and JJ Garcia from LCYC finished 2nd and 3rd, respectively, in the Opti Fleet.
Thursday featured winds in the 15-22 kt range, providing some challenging sailing, while Friday winds were a bit tamer, starting around 15 kts and dropping to 8 kts by the final race.
