Ladies Cup — Jib and Main - Class A / Failey Trophy

LADIES CUP RACE
• N.F. FAILEY TROPHY •

First on Corrected Time — Class A - Jib & Main Division
32nd Consecutive Awarding — 2012

This trophy from the 1920s was bought by David Schaefer for $6 at a yard sale in 1981 and returned to the club. At that time not many non-spinnaker boats raced in the Ladies Cup Race, so one award was sufficient. In 1999, in recognition of the growth in Jib & Main Division, a new trophy was created for Class B and the Failey Trophy became the trophy for Class A.
