Ladies Cup — Spinnaker - Class C / Ingalls Cup Trophy

LADIES CUP RACE
• INGALLS CUP TROPHY •

First on Corrected Time — Class C - Spinnaker Division
40th Awarding — 2012

In 1972 Mrs. J.W. Ingalls of Glens Falls NY discovered this beautiful trophy amongst the belongings of her late father. The circumstances by which the cup came to her father were unknown, but the inscriptions on the cup indicated that it was an award for some long-ago LCYC event. Mrs Ingalls returned the trophy to LCYC with the wish that it be used by the club in some appropriate manner befitting it beauty and heritage. In 1973 the Board of Governors designated it the "Ingalls Cup," to be awarded to the Class C yacht that finished first on corrected time in the Ladies Cup Race.
