LCYC Racing Season

Lake Champlain Yacht Club invites you to join our sailboat racing program. We host a summer-long Wednesday night series in Shelburne Bay, weekend races on the open lake, and an Etchells series. You must be signed-in to the LCYC website to register. All Lake Champlain registrants must have a current rating from Lake Champlain PHRF.

If you are just looking for the liability waiver, STOP. Click here instead!

All sailboats participating in races conducted by the Lake Champlain Yacht Club must register to permit validation of PHRF rating and for scoring. The finish results will not be reported for boats that have not registered. All sailboat races conducted by the Lake Champlain Yacht Club may be raced without charge by members of LCYC and other affiliated sailing clubs on Lake Champlain (Malletts Bay Boat Club, Diamond Island Yacht Club). All weekend races may be sailed without charge regardless of club membership. For Monday and Wednesday night races, sailboats whose owners are not members of any affiliated sailing club on Lake Champlain will be charged an annual fee of $200 for registration. Regional one-design regattas may require separate registration and additional fees.

Cruising

Lake Champlain offers some of the best freshwater cruising in North America. The beautiful scenery and charming lakeside destinations make it a great place to explore. LCYC organizes several rendezvous events. Spontaneous cruising events also materialize throughout the season. We have a number of scheduled events planned for the summer season. Cruisers are out and about just about every weekday and weekend throughout the summer.
