According to an article published in the New York Times July 2, 1911 - the fire which distroyed the LCYC in that year was on JULY 1st - not July 4th as stated in your Club History.
For the past two years my e-mail address has been printed incorrectly in the club log. I double checked my info on the website and that is correct. I feel that I may be missing some important info, maybe not.
Will people please correct the e-mail address they have for me to: toensing.trent@gmail.com.
Does anyone know who I should contact so my correct e-mail address is in the 2011 log?
I guess I missed getting a copy of last years financial statement at the CoW diner. Can this be posted to this web site please so all members can have a look?
Now that we have actually been experiencing beautiful weather, and the water temperature is conducive for swimming, we all need to be mindful of safety in the mooring area. Please stay within close proximity of your vessel and do NOT swim in the the fairway as traffic is high and visibility can be poor. There is a swim platform off the junior sailing docks for club members to use as well.
If you cannot make to opening work day, considering being part of a small post opening club work party. A small work party, 4-5 people, is needed to waterproof/stain the ramp. This work party is needed for the weekend of 5/16. The stain/sealer and roller supplies will be at LCYC. There is also a need for someone to take the lead on this work party. Please contact myself or Lorrie Rothman at lrothman@pinsource.com if you can help out.
