On Monday August 27, 2007 I drop the mast and with the guidance and wisdom of my trusty crew, Don Rathbone and John Dupie, I head west for Buffalo via the Champlain and Erie Canal. September 6,7,8, and 9th are the Beneteau 36.7 North Americans. There are 46 boats registered to be on the line. Three races a day.
It is 490 miles and 44 locks each way. I hope to do it in 7 days but have at least two to spare.
I hope to post my adventures on my google blog: Sto Lat Sailing.
I chose Don and John because I thought they would be the most likely to keep me out of trouble en route.
Tony Lamb-Sto Lat hull #49.
