Welcome to the LCYC website. All your navigation is along the top menu bar, if you roll your cursor over the individual options, you will see a dropdown list of items from which you can choose from. While different form the old website, it is not nearly as daunting as it may first appear. The menu choices are fairly self explanitory, club stuff, cruising stuff, racing stuff, event information, etc. Some of you may scratch your heads and ask "Whats a Blog, or Forum?". A blog is simply an online diary, if you will, where you can share your thoughts, ideas, and information with the general public. About 90% of all blogs are abandoned after the first month, so it would seem that it doesnt have the same magnetic pull that your classic diary may have. Typically blogs are used to keep people updated about projects, trips, or different events. For example, in your blog you could document your trip sailing up the lake into Canada, or your winter journey to the Bahamas. It can be anything that you want to share. Remember, because it is online, Blogs are accessable to most everyone, so never share any information that is private. Second topic, Forums. Forums are just a place online where people can get together and share information. It differs from a blog in that any registered user can create new topics, for example this is a topic that I have created. As well, any registered user can also submit content to that topic if they have any questions or information that may be valuable to the original poster, or other users.
This turned out to be a lot longer than I had originally planned, but please direct any questions to Jason Hyerstay, our wonderful webmaster.

Nice explanation
Hey Tyler...thanks for the nice explanation. It's never to early to get people thinking about our site and your words of wisdom should help those that may be wondering how it works. It really is as easy as you say.
