If the ladies cup would have been scored, as outlined in the sailing instrucions and rules (see 5.0 Classes) Mike Barker and Ulie Holzinger would have been in Class Jam B (Handicaps over 170), Mike would still have won 1st place, but in class B. Bob DeSorbo would have won Class A, Steve Landau second, intead of third, etc. Jay Tremper would have been third in Class A, and Ulie third in class B.
If we have specific rules for the ladies cup only, we should abide by them.

Hey Ulie....good point but I'm sure there is no need to panic.....I would suggest that you contact the club scorer and see what she can do to remedy the situation...

The class splits are the same for all races as stated in section 28.0 PHRF Classes of the Sailing Instructions (pg 15), however, if a boat chooses to race in a class above what they are rated that has been their choice.
Ulie Holzinger was scored in Jam A based on the following 2 things:

Checking previous results for the Ladies Cup, Mike Barker has been scored in Jam A going back to at least 2002 (this is as far back as the previous web site has results). http://www.lcyc-vt.org/Racing/yearlyResults.htm
The scorer should be notified prior to a race requesting to be scored in a different class then what the boat is usually scored in.
