LCYC moorings in Converse and Kingsland

If you haven't yet discovered them, LCYC now has two new moorings in Converse Bay for members' use.
They are located in the south of the bay in what is currently 15 ft of water. You can't miss them as the mooring ball is marked "LCYC"; the pickup says "Private". In addition, a 3rd mooring is planned for Kingsland Bay which should be available soon.

The protocol is simple. First come, first serve! You must fly your burgee to be easily identified as an LCYC vessel. In the event that someone other than an LCYC member is on the mooring you may explain that they are indeed on a private mooring and ask them to leave. If they do not, simply record the name of the boat, registration numbers and preferably a digital photo and provide that information to me.
I really don't expect this to be a problem.

Please let me know if you use the moorings and what you think of the club mooring initiative!

Great idea!

Ted -Thanks for the info. We spent a lovely evening in the bay Saturday night. It was a luxury to pick up a mooring in this sometimes crowded anchorage. This spot even offers great sunset views between Cedar Island and Garden Island! Now all we need is a few connections in Westport...

Converse Bay Mooring

After dinning in Essex, we sailed to the Converse Bay mooring & enjoyed it for the night... on August 16th/17th. Thank you!!!
