power & water

fyi- there is no power or water at the docks as of saturday, may 20th.

Water and Power On

On Saturday May 27th, the first day of the Memorial Day weekend, dedicated dockers effected a small miracle, repairing the water and electrical system on the docks! Ernie Reuter deserves special recognition, not only did he show up on time, he also came up with a brilliant scheme to fix the water leaks without removing the kiosks! Bob DeSorbo adroitly teased life into the electrical circuits. Ted Lattrell doggedly fixed the last stubborn water leak with his magic putty. Mike Dunphy and Wes Daum lag screwed with aplomb while Don Rathbone worked the water valves like he owned a utility. The next time you wash down your boat or charge your battery you can thank these generous LCYC members. Other work also accomplished on Saturday: installed the safety ladders, repaired several dock connections, and refastened faulty deck boards. Sound like fun? Pitch in next time. I found working with these talented LCYC members to be a real pleasure.
