Record High Water Levels in Lake Champlain

High water has forced us to postpone the spring installation of the mooring field. The length of the delay is dependent on water levels. Anyone planning on having a boat at the LCYC before May 15th should contact Bob Schumacher 802-238-8099 for an update.

Also anyone boating on the lake should be extremely careful. The high water has put a huge amount of logs and other debris into the lake creating hazards to navigation. The water temperature in extremely cold, so while canoeing, kayaking and boating in some of the flooded areas can be fun, it can also be deadly if you capsize.

Be Safe.

Cruising

Lake Champlain offers some of the best freshwater cruising in North America. The beautiful scenery and charming lakeside destinations make it a great place to explore. LCYC organizes several rendezvous events. Spontaneous cruising events also materialize throughout the season. We have a number of scheduled events planned for the summer season. Cruisers are out and about just about every weekday and weekend throughout the summer.
