one design racing
speaking of class associations, i would propose more one design racing at the club. i know mallets bay has a strong laser fleet, but many people in this area have lasers as well, but cant make it up to MBBC every tuesday. you could also start some kind of FJ weekly race, this would not only make it so the boats actually get used besides the junior sailing program, but it would prove to promote the junior program. if more opportunities were given for kids in and not in the program to get out and sail, more would do it. another OD fleet that could be made is a j29 fleet. we have 5 or more j29s racing on wednesday nights, so why not score them as a one design fleet as well as a phrf fleet?
