Is there any reason why LCYC does not join the registry of yacht clubs? Can I suggest that we join this registry to have LCYC gain reciprocity with other clubs? See link below:

Gene- we discussed this a couple years back at the BOG. As I recall there is a several hundred dollar fee to get your YC name in this registry. The concensus of the BOG at the time was that it was a bit of a rip off and of limited real value to the club or its members. In my tenure as Commodore there was only one time where we had an issue with reciprocity (LuisG @ Charleston YC)...that was solved by my sending a brief letter to the other club. My 2 cents worth....
