Spring Workday at LCYC. As LCYC is a working club with a minimum of outside contracted workers, opening and closing workdays are times where club members come together to get the club ready for the coming season.

You are cordially invited to join the assembled multitude Sunday afternoon, Sept. 24 for what will probably be the last Don't Worry - Be Happy Pick-up Regatta of the 2006 sailing season, or not.

The course will be from the starting line (Burlington Breakwater Southern Lighthouse... Oakledge Park Oil Pier Structure) around Juniper Island (island left to port) and back to the original line. There will be no skipper's meeting before the race. The silent starting gun will be at exactly 2:00 PM, GPS time. There will be no flagged starting sequence as there is no race committee. PHRF corrected class and overall results will not be posted as soon as possible after the conclusion of the race. Don't check the DW-BH Regatta website because it doesn't exist.

The 2006 Awards Banquet will be held at the LCYC clubhouse this coming Friday, October13th (Not a bad thing) with cocktails at 1800 hours. Beer and soda are free. Anything else is BOYB. Dinner will begin at 1900 hours with a great menu (See your recent Binnacle). The cost per person is only $13.00.
