This is a content-rich website, so it might be confusing to understand how to navigate it at first. The first thing you need to understand is the general graphical layout of the site, which consists of four sections.
Header:
At the top of every page is the header, which contains the burgee (flag icon), site name and dates of founding and incorporation, plus a series of drop-down menus. These menus are the main way to navigate to the various sections of the site. Furthermore, clicking the burgee or site name will always take you back to the home page if you ever get lost.
Sidebar:
This is the left column of the page and contains a dynamic set of blocks based upon where in the site you are. At the home page, it has a random photo from the gallery, the login block, links to adjust your account settings, a block listing recently active forum topics, a block listing recent blog entries and a block of upcoming events from the schedule. Certain sections of the site will change the contents of the sidebar. For example, when browsing the photo gallery, the sidebar offers a search field and menus to navigate the gallery.
Content:
The largest section of the page is devoted to the content, and shows whatever content you are viewing, whether it is a book page, a blog posting, photos, forum posts, etc. The content page will usually also have links to other areas of content and at the top, breadcrumbs to show you where in a hierarchy you currently are. There will also be links to let you interact with the content in various ways, including posting comments or adding your own content.
Footer:
At the bottom of the page is a brief copyright statement and a listing, with links, of the software that powers the site.
